Masterson’s Lounge, located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my latest trip at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I discovered behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The Condition of the Premises : Unhygienic and Disregarded
From the moment I walked in , it was evident that hygiene was not a priority at Masterson’s . The surfaces were tacky , and a overpowering stench of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms permeated the entire venue . Emitting a scent of a mixture of excrement , old age and illness . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and refuse that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The toilet was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a broken handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

For a business that offers beverages , these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the safety of anything they serve .
